As The Dog pub in Coventry has learned, thanks to the VenueHub’s innovative range of extra services, it’s not just the jukebox’s 7 million available tracks that grab customers’ attention.

Having undergone a massive transformation to reinvent the former Dog and Trumpet pub into a fully-fledged live music venue, The Dog’s landlords were determined to get the pub’s name recognised on the local music scene. Thankfully, with the VenueHub digital jukebox, Hire Jukebox were able to offer the venue owners an innovative new way to get their voice heard.

Joining forces with Coventry-based band The Session, Hire Jukebox uploaded the group’s biggest hits and band photos to The Dog’s digital jukebox, attracting a new group of regular customers from The Session’s growing local fan-base.

As Hire Jukebox’s Business Development Manager, Marc Bird, explains, “The Session have a fantastic following so putting their music on the jukebox not only helps them to promote their new music but also helps increase the revenue on the jukebox.”

Naturally, the band were just as delighted for the opportunity to broadcast their music, with songwriter and keyboardist Shaun Stenton commenting, “We think this is a great way to get our new music out there and see how well it goes down being played to a packed house.”

Beyond this venue requests service, the VenueHub has also helped The Dog establish a strong presence on the local music scene through the option to create a ‘What’s on’ events calendar on the jukebox to advertise upcoming music events. Landlords even have the option to upload Jpeg posters onto the VenueHub’s 32” touchscreen to promote events and drinks deals, and can add photos from recent events under the ‘Managers Photos’ area. As the pub has already hosted legendary alternative music artists including DJ Goldie, funk DJ and Coronation Street actor Craig Charles and the producer behind New Order and Primal Scream, this is undoubtedly a feature that will generate a lot of hype for the pub!
