Alongside supplying the latest digital jukeboxes, Hire Jukebox now provide another interactive entertainment system: boxer machines.

Thanks to this new service, this week the team was lucky enough to be given VIP passes to the filming of ITV’s Celebrity Juice, where one of our Boxer Machines was set to feature in the show.

The guest list for the show was certainly impressive, with team captains Holly Willoughby and Kelly Brook joined at the River Side Studios by TOWIE’s Mark Wright, Henry ‘The Fonz’ Winkler and Vernon Kay. We were also amused by the surreal sight of seeing host Leigh Francis remain in character as Keith Lemon throughout the entire day, with even the crew calling him Keith!

While the Hire Jukebox team enjoyed watching the show live, the best moment for us was seeing the show’s guests and crew having so much fun trying out our punch bag machine.

For the main feature, Celebrity Juice customised our boxer machine with their own addition. Celebrity faces were stuck alongside the boxing  machine’s scale to represent the strength of the

punch, from the weak Suri Cruise and Justin Bieber, through to Liam Gallagher, Amir Kahn and the almighty Cheryl Cole punch. Keith and Vernon then fought it out on the punch bag machine to fit the show’s ‘Hunk Week’ theme, Vernon winning with a spectacular 887 points but not quite reaching the Cheryl Cole level.

Of course, as much fun as we had on the day, the real moment of pride for us is hearing how so many pub-goers are enjoying our boxing machines in bars up and down the country.

For some time, landlords impressed by our digital jukeboxes and their ability to bring in extra income had been requesting other games machines on a no rent, profit share basis, eager to repeat this success. Results from the first few boxing machines we trialled were amazing, and have even led to new sites requesting our jukeboxes after seeing how much customers appreciate the punch bag machines.
