The Hen & Chickens Pub Rocks Out to the RockBox Jukebox

The Hen & Chickens pub landlord, Paul Hayes, is delighted to have finally found a jukebox that caters to the alternative music taste of his customers.

“The Rockbox jukebox is the perfect jukebox for our pub,” enthuses Hayes. “We are a very music oriented venue, with many customers requesting rock and alternative music opposed to main stream chart music. Most jukeboxes couldn’t cater for this type of demand, that is why it was essential we chose the right jukebox.”

The RockBox digital jukebox is the only digital model that is entirely dedicated to rock music, featuring over 10,000 hand-picked rock tracks. Track listings on the jukebox cover every sub-genre, from punk and metal to indie and alternative, to appeal to even the most discerning rock fans.

These specialist playlists are also automatically updated on a regular basis to include the latest rock releases, and can even be customised to include additional tracks. This feature has really impressed Hayes;

“We have had a list of customers’ requests added to the jukebox as well as local bands. This has been a fantastic success,” The Bridgnorth landlord explains enthusiastically. “It’s their jukebox now and they love it!”

Hayes also comments on how well the digital jukebox complements the other musical events the pub frequently puts on, thanks to the RockBox’s ‘What’s on’ feature. This added extra allows pub owners to advertise upcoming special events and promotions via the jukebox screen.

“We are a live music venue, so keeping our customers informed with what bands are playing and when is important to us. The jukebox advertising feature has allowed us to do this easily,” attests Hayes, adding, “We have also uploaded our own jpeg images of posters and photos to make the jukebox more personalised.”
