As a popular stop-off point for gig-goers heading to Birmingham\u2019s NEC and NIA concert venues, The Rocket Pub in Coventry has always been known for attracting music lovers. Given this reputation, it was vital for the venue to have a new jukebox in place ahead of the venue\u2019s official re-opening, especially with the local Godiva Music Festival taking place practically on the pub\u2019s doorstep. <\/p>\n

Thankfully, Hire Jukebox stepped in to have the jukebox not only ready in time, but also specifically placed to catch the eye of pub-goers as soon as they enter the venue. As Hire Jukebox\u2019s Business Development Manager, Marc Bird, explains;<\/p>\n

\u201cPositioning of the jukebox is so important. We discussed where to place it with The Rocket Pub\u2019s owners, who were happy to leave it to us based on our knowledge. Beyond being visible when you walk into the venue, the new jukebox is also near the bar and customers have to pass it to visit the pub\u2019s garden or toilets. It\u2019s a great opportunity to use the jukebox\u2019s touchscreen display to advertise promotions or events, as well as boosting track selections.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This central location has clearly paid off, as the venue\u2019s owners report the new jukebox went down a storm with regulars and festival-goers alike over the opening weekend, constantly attracting a crowd. On Bird\u2019s recommendation, the Rocket Pub\u2019s owners also chose to set occasional gaps between songs, encouraging even more pub-goers to use the jukebox during the music breaks.<\/p>\n

Indie favourites Oasis, The Enemy and The Stone Roses proved to be firm favourites for the venue, though with a track library covering every era since the 1950s and numerous genres from blues and rock to pop and dance, the jukebox offers something for everyone. In fact, thanks to the model\u2019s digital connection, offering automatic new music updates including the latest chart releases, even the most dedicated new music fanatics will be impressed with the selection available.<\/p>\n
