Thanks to a committed effort from the Hire Jukebox team, The Zombie Hut in Corby\u2019s new Rockbox jukebox was set up just in time for an opening night to remember. <\/p>\n

As a serious new rock venue with big name acts like Carl Barat of the Libertines and Echo and the Bunnymen\u2019s Ian McCulloch already signed up to play, owner Ari Watkins knew no ordinary jukebox would do for The Zombie Hut.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe needed a jukebox but didn’t want mainstream chart music,\u201d confirms Watkins, explaining, \u201cI called the Hire Jukebox team and Operations Manger Marc Bird came over for a site survey. He advised on the RockBox and he got it absolutely right. It’s perfect as we are a very music orientated crowd and our customers enjoy a wide range of diverse music.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Rockbox is the most comprehensive rock jukebox available, updated regularly with new tracks and covering all areas of alternative music from indie and ska to punk and heavy metal. Landlords also have the option to add special customer requests or local artists\u2019 tracks to the digital jukebox\u2019s music library, meaning it gradually becomes even more tailored to the music tastes of the pub\u2019s customer base.<\/p>\n

Likewise, despite working on a tight schedule to have the two story former rugby club ready in time, Hire Jukebox took the time to consider the best location for the digital jukebox in order to maximise interest. Much to customers\u2019 delight, the Rockbox has also been connected up to the venue\u2019s impressive sound system to boost the volume and ensure everyone can hear the songs they select, wherever they are in the venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s been well received by the customers,\u201d enthuses Watkins, adding, \u201cNo need paying for background music when we have a jukebox that makes money as opposed to costing us money.\u201d In fact the jukebox took an impressive \u00a3200 within the first two weeks and as Watkins chose to hire both the Rockbox and a boxer machine on a profit share payment option from Hire Jukebox, there weren\u2019t even any high initial installation costs to pay for setup.<\/p>\n
